Memories of A Husband
I was married to Carol for nearly 30 years. We had a big life together. We were lovers and we were great friends. We had two children together, we raised them in the church with love and devotion. We bought and built houses together, we were in businesses together, we thrived and we struggled. We buried family and we supported one another - we shared a big life. When marriages end everyone on the outside thinks it died. Well, I guess it did or rather she made a choice for a different direction for a new phase of her big life – my love for Carol never died though and I will believe she always loved me even if she didn’t want to be married any more. If I have a regret it is only that I was not there to hold her hand and say good bye when she went to heaven.
